Meet the Magnus Broadheads Field Advisors

Leaders in Archery, Innovation, and the Pursuit of Perfection

At Magnus Broadheads, our Field Advisors represent the best of modern bowhunting—passionate outdoorsmen and women who live for precision, ethical hunting, and continuous improvement in the field. Meet the hunters who put our gear to the test every season.

Derek Craig – Bowhunter, Engineer, and Outdoor Filmmaker

With no family hunting heritage to build upon, Derek Craig forged his own path into the outdoors. What started as a hobby soon became a lifelong passion—and ultimately, an obsession with bowhunting.

After years of pursuing big game, Derek turned his attention to one of the toughest archery challenges: the wild turkey. Following several mixed results with body shots, he discovered the effectiveness of the Magnus Bullhead Broadhead, designed specifically for head and neck shots. Since joining Magnus Broadheads in 2009, Derek has harvested countless turkeys across the United States using the Bullhead.

Beyond the hunt, Derek now helps design and test Magnus products, provides customer support, and creates educational content for the Magnus Broadheads YouTube channel.

An engineer by profession, Derek holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. He’s also an active conservationist, involved with Delta Waterfowl, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and 4-H Shooting Sports, where he teaches youth archery.

When he’s not in the field, Derek channels his creative side through New Day Outdoor Productions, his own videography and photography company specializing in hunting media.

Nate Sellers – Average Jack Archery

By day, Nate Sellers is a schoolteacher. By night, he’s a bow technician and the face behind the popular YouTube channel Average Jack Archery.

From his home in central Pennsylvania, Nate shares a wealth of bowhunting knowledge, gear reviews, and tuning tips for archers of all skill levels. He spends his fall chasing whitetails through the Appalachian foothills, embodying the everyman archer’s spirit—dedicated, passionate, and always learning.

Follow his journey and get the most from your bow with Average Jack Archery.

Robin Parks – Aim Low Productions

An engineer by trade and an outdoorsman by heart, Robin Parks has been deeply involved in the archery industry for nearly three decades. From prostaff roles and product development to outdoor television and writing, his experience runs deep.

As the owner of Aim Low Productions and Director of Customer Support and Prostaff Coordination at Hot Shot Archery, Robin’s expertise continues to shape the modern bowhunting community. He hunts multiple states each year—most often for spring turkey, whitetail deer, and wild hogs—and captures his hunts on video.

Robin’s greatest passion is spring turkey hunting, where he’s taken more than 60 birds with his bow over the last 13 years. Since 2017, he has trusted Magnus Broadheads exclusively in the field.

Troy Fowler – The Ranch Fairy

Known online as The Ranch Fairy, Troy Fowler brings a scientific curiosity to bowhunting. From his “secret lab” in Texas, Troy conducts detailed arrow and broadhead testing—pushing equipment to its limits to understand what truly performs in the field.

His honest, data-driven approach has made him one of the most respected voices in bowhunting education today. Follow The Ranch Fairy for insights on arrow flight, penetration, and everything in between.
